How corrections work

Each request is checked against the sources. When a published item changes, the change is recorded here with the date and what changed. An item that may be materially false is taken down while it is reviewed.

Candidates can request a correction or add a response on the same terms. A response is reviewed before publication and appears beside the item it answers. Submissions are checked against the campaign identity on the City’s certified list; they are never published automatically, and they cannot edit candidate facts directly.
